Block of the Month Club

Coming up in March 2011 we will be starting a Block of the Month (BOM) club at The Crooked Stitch.

This club will feature moda’s Momo Freebird fabric – a sweet and funky line with gorgeous colors. Each month you will pick up your package containing the fabric and the instructions to make that month’s mystery block, which will be 12” finished. All the blocks will be intermediate blocks without the need for paper piecing, templates or appliqué. This makes our BOM club suitable for all quilters.  This quilt will be a generous lap size when finished – 60” x 75”  This club will run March 2011 to Feb 2012.

The membership fee will be $5, and each month’s block will be $10. This will give you everything you need to create your block. The membership fee is due at sign-up and is non-refundable.

There is also a finishing kit available for $35 which will include sashing, border and binding fabrics. If you would like to use our kit I recommend that you pick it up with your first month’s block to ensure you get the fabric of your choice.

Finally, there is a backing kit available for $32 which has enough yardage to back your gorgeous Freebird quilt. This should also be picked up with your first month’s block to ensure that you get your desired fabric.
